**My name is Aliyu Ahmed Aishat, and I am humbly reaching out to seek urgent financial support for my mother, Ahmed Hauwa Oyiza.**
My mother is a hardworking petty trader who has always supported our family through her small business. For the past five years, she has been battling diabetes and hypertension, managing her condition with regular medication.
In 2025, her condition worsened. We noticed that her body was swelling, and she became weaker with each passing day. This led us to conduct medical tests in February 2026 at A4 Medical Consortium in Lokoja, Kogi State, where we received the heartbreaking diagnosis that she is suffering from kidney failure.
The doctors informed us that a kidney transplant is her best chance of survival and advised that the procedure be carried out at Zenith Medical and Kidney Center in Gudu, Abuja. However, we have not been able to proceed due to lack of funds.
The estimated cost of the transplant, including hospital services, medications, and necessary treatments before and after surgery, is ₦35,000,000. Thankfully, a family member has volunteered to donate a kidney, but the donor will also require medical care before and after the transplant, which adds to the financial burden.
Our family is struggling financially. My father is a retired teacher living on a modest pension, and all available funds—including income from my mother’s business—have already been spent on ongoing dialysis treatments. I have also been unemployed since graduating in 2012, making it extremely difficult to contribute financially.
We are therefore appealing to kind-hearted individuals, organizations, and the general public for support. We are trying to raise the required funds so that my mother can be admitted and undergo this life-saving procedure.
